Prepping for Ghost Town Nudes…

 

The past couple of weeks have been pretty busy and I am getting down to the wire for the ghost town nudes project.  Friday is going to be an absolutely insane day for me, so I’m not counting on being able to prep much of anything that day.  I’m hoping to have all the gear checked and packed by tomorrow night so thursday evening can be spent relaxing with the family, and friday I’ll be left with charging batteries, getting food prepped to cook breakfast on location, and getting to bed early. 

I’ll be working with a couple of new models on this shoot – Wispra, the subject of my most recent test shoot, and Sarah, another local girl who responded to my casting call for the project.  I’m hoping to get enough behind the scenes video footage to put together a little movie about the project.

Wish me luck.  It’s a long drive back down the mountain if I forget a sync cord or a memory card.

Wispra in the Wetlands

 

I shot with a new model last night.  She’s participating in the ghost town shoot next weekend and we wanted to test the waters (no pun intended…) before making the trip up the mountain for the shoot.  She’s had experience shooting artistic nudes before, but not outdoors.  I wanted to see how she moved and responded to direction.  I think she’ll do just fine…

I’m producing a series of nudes in the west Eugene Wetlands.  Ashley was the latest subject, and we got some amazing material.  She certainly went the extra mile, wading through the marsh and braving the bugs and mud to get some great shots.

Posting early today, I’ve got a nice little Saturday planned.  we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

All Frank the Tank quotes aside, it looks like I’m location scouting close to home this morning, prepping for a shoot at the coast tomorrow, doing a bunch of stuff on my honey-do list, and maybe shooting some nudes tonight if I can find a suitable location and come up with a concept.  If I can get back from the shoot, cram in some editing time and still get to bed on time to leave for the coast by 6am tomorrow, I may even post something from today's shoot this evening. 

Why do I feel like my weekends aren’t much of a break from the week?
